Joseph Fung
Joseph has a commitment to Corporate Citizenship and a belief that business is accountable to employees, customers, shareholders and the community. Co-Founded Lewis Media Inc., a web development and software development firm, Simple Machines Forum, an open source software development project, and OnMyBlock.ca Ltd., an online permission based marketing company. He is a graduate of Leadership Waterloo Region, and his professional interests include user business and NFP governance, interface design, web strategy, software development, and all things high-tech.

Jesse Rodgers
Enjoys his family, his community, and making the workplace a better place to be. Jesse was President of the University of Waterloo Staff Association where he worked to bring positive changes to way the staff and the administration interact and lead changes to key policies that broke down barriers staff felt were there for resolving disagreements. Lessons learned from his experience helped shape a vision for TribeHR – enable the simple things managers can do to help staff enjoy and grow in their work place. Jesse brings extensive experience in designing and developing web applications at the University of Waterloo. He is also an experienced manager, BarCampWaterloo and StartupCampWaterloo organizer, and involved with VeloCity at the University of Waterloo.

Catherine Mittelholtz
Joining while she was still a student, Catherine is a graduate of the Software Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. A keen eye for debugging and creative web development, Catherine has honed her skills not just at TribeHR but also at another hot Canadian startup, Well.ca.

Derek Hall
Derek’s experience with web software startups and his dedication to developing a smooth customer experience have proven invaluable in his work with TribeHR. His previous experience includes work with web software companies OnMyBlock.ca and Lewis Media, and enterprise content management experts, OpenText.

Kelly Baker
Before making our HR software beautiful and easy to use, Kelly founded Oaktree Media, and designed for companies including Brainpark and Toshiba Canada. She is a graduate of both Humber College and the University of Guelph, and is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Interactive Design and Game Development from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Kelly likes sushi and kittens (she doesn’t eat kittens, though).

Donna Fung
Donna joined TribeHR after working for a number of years in the world of professional fundraising. This coupled with an educational background in prehistoric archaeology means she brings an appreciation for the finer details of customer support. Donna is a thorough and patient participant in the development of TribeHR, and happily brings that approach to any question or feature request you have!

Jaclyn Halliwell
Bringing her experience and strong educational foundation in marketing and communication, Jaclyn joined the TribeHR team poised to see this hot startup through years of growth. Jaclyn’s dedication to clear, simple communication and interest in the tech-sector made her a welcomed addition to the team. Jaclyn believes in building a strong community, both in the workplace and Waterloo Region. Paul Baribeau
Also pulled from the University of Waterloo, Paul has nearly completed his Honours Bachelor degree in Knowledge Integration, Psychology, and International Studies. Before coming to TribeHR, he was heavily involved in the non-profit sector. Paul spends much of his time reading, proof-reading, writing, re-writing, and looking for creative ways to spread HR wisdom. He likes travel and classic literature. He dislikes cold weather and typos.

Like Catherine and Paul, Ryan joined us out of the Engineering department at the University of Waterloo. Focusing on internal systems and new feature development, Ryan is a key member of the development team.
