Security is our #1 consideration whenever we add a new feature or element to our human resources software. We know we’re dealing with sensitive information, and we treat it with the utmost care. Here are a couple of the key elements included in our approach to security.
Physical Security
Our servers are stored in a secure data centre with carefully guarded access and 24×7 security monitoring.
Data Security
In addition to the physical security afforded by our facility, our servers run security-hardened operating systems, are digitally monitored 24×7 and are protected behind best-of-class firewalls.
Network Encryption
We use the same encryption that you use for your online banking and online purchases (128 bit SSL encryption). Even if someone could get at your data while it’s in transit, they would not be able to open it.
Data Separation
Many Software as a Service vendors use a single, monolithic, database. To keep your data even more secure, every Tribe website is given it’s own secure database and database connection, so even if another Tribe customer has a security issue, your data is safe
Database Encryption
Although all HR data is sensitive, some information is more-so. As an administrator you can select key pieces of data to be encrypted before they even hit our database – this means that even if a hacker managed to steal a copy of your database, without your keys, they won’t be able to read your data.
