Top 5 HR TED Talks (#1)

Posted on May 24, 2011 by

(Previous: #2 Dan Pink)

TribeHR is counting down the top human resources-related TED talks. We’ve already watched Caroline Casey (#5), Sir Ken Robinson (#4), Chip Conley (#3), and Dan Pink (#2) tell their stories and explore different aspects of work and employment.

At the top of our list is Discovery Channel star Mike Rowe (@mikeroweworks), whose experience filming Dirty Jobs taught him some interesting lessons about ignorance, appreciating hard work, and the benefits of doing things differently.

WARNING: Viewer discretion is advised. While this video does not contain any graphic images, it does contain mature content (including a pretty graphic story about Rowe’s experiences in animal castration). You’re going to want headphones if you’re watching this at work.

Alternatively, you can watch it at TED.com.

Did we miss your favourite TED talk? Does one of our choices not belong in the top 5? Did you learn something new? Share your opinion with us in the comments, on Twitter, or on Facebook.
